We live in King George, Virginia. At present, the closest Pagan groups are in Fredericksburg. But with all of the expansion taking place in this region, it's just a matter of time. We're ready to get involved! In the meantime, here are a few resources in the surrounding region that we are familiar with.
Chalice Circle of Fredericksburg meets monthly at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fredericksburg. Chalice Circle does not have a unique web presence at this time, but you can find contacts for them either through the CUUPS website or through the UUFF website.
Riversong is an ADF (Druid) protogrove in Fredericksburg. They host a monthly meet-n-greet, and their rituals are open to newcomers. The group is also very family-friendly.
This Yahoo list has their own monthly meetings as well as listing surrounding groups' open events. Email traffic on this list is moderate/high (over 100 messages/month), so you may want to select the Digest option.
There are about a half-dozen Meetup.com groups for Pagans of various interests in Fredericksburg. Since Meetups change frequently, the best option is to go to the site and search for the most current list.
At present, this group seems to draw most of its members from Richmond and VA Beach (in other words, quite a drive if you happen to live way up in King George). But it is still a very good resource if your family is willing/able to travel a bit to attend events.
This is a Pagan gathering the first weekend in August in Virginia's Northern Neck, specifically near Warsaw, VA. We have not yet attended this event but are looking forward to it.
